Our very own Prince Harry has once again made the headlines this week, after such a long spell of good behaviour! If you don’t know why – have you been living under a rock?
The Prince of Wales, Harry Windsor, has fun, does silly things. You can guarantee that royalty from our history has done worse things – it’s just unfortunate camera phones were an invention in his lifetime.
So Prince Harry – Prince Henry of Wales when you’re in trouble – we thought we’d list 10 reasons why we should all support the nation’s favourite ginger!
1 – Ginger
Harry’s trussed locks have always been, and will remain, ginger. He raises the profile for gingers across the Nation, as this year’s red-head trend sweeps the world. Being of ginger orientation myself, Harry’s bold stand to hold onto his Saxon colouring is an inspiration to all those ex-redheads who have abandoned their, quite literal, glowing roots.
2 – Everyone loves a Wild-Child
Prince Henry of Wales: Bad Boy. Who would’ve thought it? And who would’ve thought this mild-mannered youngster would grow into the reputation he has today. From ill-chosen Nazi fancy dress, to baring all. The red-head hottie is quickly gaining legendary status, and who knows one day we might all be hanging James Dean-esque prints of our lovable rogue Prince Harry in our bedrooms.
3 – We’ll all get a day off for his wedding
We all loved Prince William and Kate’s wedding – for most of us it is the wedding of our lifetime. The opulence, the whole-spirited sense of the nation’s coming together and…the added bonus of a national holiday! Now our Harry is ‘only’ third-in-line to the throne, but if we can really push the support for Harry, then it might be that we can wangle another public holiday!
4 – He makes the Royals real people
Harry does make the Royal family more accessible to us – he does make the Royals real! Harry attended the most privileged school in England, and left school with distinctly below-average grades. He joined the army and served a 6 month tour in Afghanistan, in secret. He parties, gets caught with his pants down, but is known world-wide for his charity work. Name as many people as you can that you know has done at least one of these – I bet you can!
5 – He can fly a helicopter and rescue you
Need I say more? Aside from the fact that this is just one way that Harry could sweep you off your feet in a Prince-Charming mass-offensive. Harry can zip-wire from a moving helicopter to rescue you, or he drive a tank through a riddled war zone, or he can charge on a white-steed and sweep you onto the mare’s hind, into his arms! Ahhhh….
6 – He was the most seen Royal at the London 2012 Olympics
I watched the London 2012 Olympics everyday – and by the looks of the TV footage so did Harry. He was the (well, my most at least) seen Royal at the Olympic 2012 games! What dedication! Rumour has it Harry was supposed to jump out of that James Bond chopper over Queen Lizzie, but he said ‘Nah, you’re alright, you do it Nan.” – He gave our excited Queen her 15 minutes of fame! So sweet.
7 – He’s the only person we know of whose gone to rehab for Marijuana use
Well really, have you ever heard of anyone else going to rehab for this offence? ‘Nuff said.
8 – And let’s be fair, he’s extremely good looking.
Harry is a good-looking man. It was touch-and-go when he was younger, but he powered on and look how he succeeded! If I had a penny for every time someone, male or female, said “I would” about our ginger-prince…
9 – He can literally be ‘Our Knight in Shining Armour’
Yeah he can ride a horse. Yeah he plays Polo. Do you know what this means? He’s got that swoop and scoop action that can pull any body up on his horse, and ride off with them into the sunset. Now commence your daydream.
10 – Heeeee’s Single, and always ready to Mingle!
If you ever meet our single Prince, I have three words of advice: Be genuine, Be yourself, and if it doesn’t work out move aside for the next person to have their chance.
